Jane SEO — Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 29, 2026
Jane SEO ("Jane," "we," "us," "our") is a Shopify app operated by JFKAISLAY, a business owned by Stuffgoodies LLC. This policy explains what data the Jane SEO app accesses, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices available to you. It applies to merchants who install and use the Jane SEO app. By installing Jane, you agree to the practices described here.
Who we are
Jane SEO is built and operated by JFKAISLAY (owned by Stuffgoodies LLC). For any privacy questions or requests, contact us at stuffgoodies@stuffgoodies.com.
What data Jane accesses
When you install Jane on your Shopify store, the app requests permission to read and write your product and collection data — including titles, descriptions, meta titles and descriptions, image alt text, and structured data (schema). Jane uses this access to analyze your store and rewrite these elements to improve your search engine optimization.
Jane does not request, access, or store your customers' personal information, order data, or payment information.
If you choose to connect Google Search Console, Jane accesses your store's search performance data — search queries, impressions, and clicks — through Google's authorized OAuth process. This data is used solely to inform Jane's SEO recommendations. Connecting Google Search Console is entirely optional, requires your explicit consent, and can be disconnected at any time from within the app.
How we use your data
We use the data Jane accesses to:
Data storage and security
We store your data securely on our infrastructure and protect it using industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections. Access tokens issued by Shopify and Google are stored securely and refreshed as required. We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide the service.
How we share data
We do not sell your data. We do not share your store data with third parties except the service providers necessary to operate Jane — for example, AI providers and search-data providers used to generate optimizations — and only to the extent required to deliver the service. These providers are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
We may disclose information where required to comply with applicable law or valid legal process.
Data retention and deletion
When you uninstall Jane, we stop accessing your store and delete or anonymize your associated data in accordance with Shopify's requirements and applicable law. Jane also honors Shopify's mandatory data-erasure requests (including the customer and shop redaction webhooks). You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting stuffgoodies@stuffgoodies.com.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, or to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at stuffgoodies@stuffgoodies.com. We will respond as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
International transfers
Your data may be stored and processed outside the country in which you reside. Where required, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
